How does meal generation work?
NextMeal uses your meal library and preferences (dietary rules, cooking time, leftovers) to build a balanced weekly plan. You can lock, swap or remove any meal.
Can I add my own meals?
Yes! Go to the Meals tab and tap '+ New Meal'. You can configure meal type, leftovers, dietary tags and how often it appears in your plan.
How do leftovers work?
When a meal is marked as 'makes leftovers', NextMeal automatically schedules the same meal the following day as a leftover. You can set how many days leftovers last per meal.
Is my data stored in the cloud?
All your meal data and planning is stored locally on your device. We only use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage in aggregate — no personal data is linked.

Our commitment

NextMeal is designed with privacy first. Your meal data and weekly plans are stored entirely on your device and never transmitted to our servers.

What data we collect

We use Firebase Analytics (by Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as:

  • App sessions and screens visited
  • Device type and OS version
  • App version in use
  • General country / language setting

This data is never linked to your identity. We do not collect your name, email, location, or any meal content.

Data stored on your device

All meal data, planning preferences and settings are stored locally using your device's storage. This data is yours — it can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

Third-party services

We use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC. Their privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Children

NextMeal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
